SUMMARY:Coastal Roots Farm Field Trip
DESCRIPTION:The Oceanside Democratic Club and Oak Tree Democratic Club will co-host an exclusive private tour of Coastal Roots Farm on the Leichtag Foundation property in Encinitas.  The tour is scheduled for Wednesday September 20 at 10:00am. \nCoastal Roots Farm is a nonprofit Jewish community farm and education center practicing organic farming while sharing their harvest with those who lack food access. They also provide a unique farm-based education program. They foster inclusive spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds to come together to celebrate Jewish life and catalyze a healthier\, more vibrant community and a more sustainable future for the region. \nThe tour will be led by Kesha Spoor\, Coastal Roots Farm’s Director of Philanthropy\, Program Strategy and Communications. \nKesha will also speak at the Oak Tree Democratic Club Meeting on Monday\, September 18 at 6:30PM. Liz also works for Solana Center for Environmental Innovation as an environmental solutions lead\, working with businesses and the community during the organics recycling rollouts throughout San Diego county.\n \nLiz will give a short presentation on our local and global food system\, food justice and ways we can participate in creating a circular food economy in our community.
