Omar Hashimi has formally announced his candidacy for Oceanside City Council D4 in the November 2024 Election. 

Omar says “I’m running for Oceanside Council District 4 to address some of the city’s most pressing issues. My background in real estate and the skills I’ve gained in the U.S. Army will help when tackling the housing crisis, public safety, small business and job growth, and protecting the health of our residents. As District 4’s representative, I’ll work tirelessly to ensure a positive future for us all.” 

As a business owner, Omar states he has a unique perspective on budgets and the housing shortage. He also wants to increase business development investments in order to create more local jobs for Oceanside residents. 

Omar currently lives in Oceanside and holds a Bachelors in Political Science and Government from CSU Northridge.
